The Government wants Australia’s inventors to have access to a patent system that is easy to understand, respected internationally and which gives inventors the rights they deserve.

IP Australia is the government agency responsible for our IP system that includes patents, trade marks, designs and plant breeder’s rights. Last financial year it received more than 3,500 patent applications from Australian inventors.
